Steinberg byl člověk se širokým kulturně politickým rozhledem, což se projevilo v jeho díle, které pojednává o každodenním lidském životě s jeho paradoxy. Sám sebe charakterizoval jako kreslícího spisovatele. Mezilidské vztahy vnímal jako výřez spojení a zároveň vzájemného nepochopení až odcizení. This small publication presents the American artist with Romanian roots Saul Steinberg (1914-1999), an exceptional cartoonist and caricaturist. Steinberg was a man with a broad cultural and political outlook, which is reflected in his work, which deals with everyday human life with its paradoxes. He described himself as a cartoonist. He saw interpersonal relationships as a cutout of connection and at the same time mutual misunderstanding to the point of alienation.
